plan:

Editing
year 12
In year 12 we had a basic understanding of editing.
my initial knowledge in editing was limited the only experience i had  was on windows movie maker. this type of software was poor quality and had limited creativity, it was not professional at all
i had never used premier pro before starting this course and had a lot to learn about the software. I initially had to learn a lot of the basics such as importing videos and altering the lengths f the clips.  through a basic editing task we called dancing animals i learnt new effects how to combine clips, change the speed of clips and add music over the top.  something which i could have improved through my use of editing software in year 12 was making the transitions smoother so that they were not jumpy.

Coming into year 12 we began learning to editing on premiere pro by creative dancing animal video- basic editing task.  Imported video, used basic cuts, color effects, effects and transitions. no creative input was just used to learn about the tool premiere pro had to offer.

Juno and prelim- basic cuts, played with inserts, effects, sound effects still early stages of learning.

Films opening-  straight cuts, black and white for flashbacks to add to and help portray the narrative.  Music on top of video- limitations now looking back we could have played around with more effects making black and white more grainy to add to the old effect. poor sound quality could have been adjusted. Colour correction.
year 13
premiere pro- more advanced software are professional, enabled us to be be more creative  with our music video.
Broadened knowledge

Presentation
year 12
in year 12 we used basic presentation software such as Emaze, slide share, power point. these were much less advanced in comparison to presentations we now use in year 13 the presentation tools used in year 12 were easy to use and only basic knowledge was needed. Many of the layouts used were preset so all that we had to do was add our own information this meant that creating a presentation was less creative.
year 13
in year 13 we have explored many more ways to present our work by using other software such as Visme, prezi, screen cast these are much more advanced which allowed us to include more detailed  of our work it also made presenting more interesting as we now had a variety to ways to show our work instead of just using the same ones.  presentations such as screen cast meant that the presentation was much more personal and could be in much more depth as you could talk over the things which were being spoken about allowing the audience to fully understand the points you are making.

Social network
year 12
in year 12 we mainly used social network to communicate with each other within the group this was  to arrange different tasks, days we were filming and availability and meant that we could be organised. We also created a Facebook page for our film opening however we were much less active and didn't not use it as much as we could have. after creating our music video I can recognized the importance to be active on social media as it plays such a large part within the marketing industry of a product and can establish and help interact many fan bases.
Year 13
in year 13 we like in year 12 used social media such as WhatsApp  to communicate with each other in the group to plan filming and availability. we used social media a lot more in year 13 as through our research we recognized the importance of interaction especially then creating our artist image and brand it was an important part of out planning .

youtube
year 12
we mainly used youtube in year 12 to upload our film opening and other videos so that we could later add links to our blog, we also used youtube to find un-copyrighted music to use on our music video.
Year 13
in year 13 youtube played a large part in our research and planning phrase we used youtube to research other music videos so that we could gain inspiration for our own video. we also used it to find a song for our music video, one with did not already have a music video.
for our planning aspect of our coursework we created a stealomatics to plan and take inspiration from other music videos to plater create our own.
We also looked at other student videos to take inspirational from and to also mark for research
we also upload onto youtube to make our video, interview act easily accessible on various platforms.

Camera/ Iphone
year 12
we used a camera  to film our film opening this was camera borrowed from school which had a low quality image
we used an iPhone to take photos for our film opening poster as we found the quality of images was much better in comparison to the cameras we had access to to use.
year 13
we used a cannon camera to film our music video, within the group we had access to a such better quality camera in comparison to year 12 this meant that the quality of our music video looked more professional.
we also used the camera to take photos for the photo shoot, again in comparison to when we used an iPhone in year 12 the camera had much better quality and more setting which could be adjusted throughout the photo shoot to gain the best result.
we also used the camera to film our interview.

Printwork
year 12
the software used to create our poster were of a much less professional standard we used software such as power point and word to create our film opening poster, the outcome although looked like a film opening poster was of much lower quality in comparison to if we had used Photoshop.
year 13
I used Photoshop in year 13 for various tasks such as to edit the digipak and  the photo shoot images used both on our social medias and on our digipak. The images were also used on our website an merchandise. I also used photo shop to create our music video poster, as well as our digipak advert.

website
year 12
in year 12 we used wix to create our website this was a basic layout which didn't match the synergy of our film opening, the website didn't have many pages, and the web url didn't not show what our website was as we could not work our how to change it
year 13
in year 13 we also used six we created a website to promote our artist and brand,  on the website we uploaded our ancillary texts and music video. Our website was created to match our synergy, with various pages, we also uploaded merchandise which was created, and could take you to a buy page. The website was created overtime to signify who and what our artist has it appear much more advanced, creative and professional in comparison to the way our year 12 website looked.

Blogger
year 12
in year 12 we were getting used to using blogger in order to upload blog posts and  keep track of work for our AS coursework. although it was a simple layout to use I did not fully take advantage of all of the gadgets which could be added to make my blog easier to navigate and access.

year 13
in year 13 I  recognized and had come to terms with the familiarity of blogger from my year 12 coursework I now recognized how the online resource made it easily accessible  from anyway in order to keep on top of work and to upload throughout the coursework process anything that I found inspiring, after becoming more familiar with blogger I was able to make the layout more convenient and match the synergy with there artist that we created. we could access group members blogs so that we could all keep on top of work and share ideas, we could also see our schools blog which applied us to see what tasks needed to be completed and also gave us other inspirations and ideas in order to make our coursework the best possible standard.

  1. Be more specific about which premiere pro tools you learnt to use in year 13, youtube videos you watched to teach you and how you were introduced to new effects in the banana phone task and the stealomatic. Equally what photoshop tools? Put blogger on top as that was where all of your work was uploaded. Give specific examples about how much more you learnt in year 13. Don't forget all the social media you used in order to promote your band. At the moment not enough on year 13, this area should be bigger than year 12. Otherwise good.
